Introduction
The boundary forms between two phases say solid and liquid is called interface. The term surface is normally use to donate interface,when one of the phases is as Several types of interfaces are encountered by the pharmacist, while handling dosage forms. They are illustratedwith suitable examples in Figure 5-1. No interface can be observedbetween two as phases because they are mutually miscible in allproportions. Solid-solid interfaces are important in pharmacy in the areaof adhesion of granules to form a tablet, flow of granules through hopperduring tableting.
